Show L a HMCH0JFF IS IMIMCIE CHOIR LEADER Presidencies to Install New Conductor at Rehearsal on Thursday Lester G Hlnchollff yesterday was selected to succeed SToseph Ballantyne, resigned, as director of the Ogden Tabernacle Tab-ernacle choir. The selection wa.s announced by the presidencies of the Ogden, Weber and North Weber stakes. Othor choir of-fh-erv probably will be named at a meeting Wednesday. Mr. Hlnohcllff accepted the post and conferred with the presidencies regarding policies. The choir members are Invited to be present at the Thursday rehearsal When Mr Hlnchcliff -vill be Installed Members of the presidencies will be in attendance and if the other officers have been selected complete reorganization reorgani-zation will be effectod at chat time. Tho choir will appear publicly unde tho new leadership at tho quarterly conference of Weber stake, Sunday January 16. Mr. Hlnchcliff is, in a way, successor succes-sor to his father, w 11 ford Hlnchcliff, who directed the tabernacle choir 33 years ago. The older Hlnchollff, also, for years directed the musical activity of tho Second ward. Ho was succeeded In Second ward by his son who directed "The Messiah," at the Second ward chapelFrlday evening. Lester Q. Hlnchcliff Is not only a chorus leader, but a pianist of ability. Re Is director of music at the Ogden High school.
