Show BONDS FOR THE WATER SYSTEM One of the items Included In the proposed pro-posed bond Issue of Ogden City Is 1820,000 for the improving and enlarg ing of the water system. There is need for large mains to carry an ample supply of waier to ;ho districts north of Ogden river bridge and south of that part ol the city below be-low Thirtieth street. In the plan.- worked out. and for which ihe money is requested, these mains have been prov ided. Once installed, the north and south mains will n-lievc the central cen-tral pipe lines which now furnish iln business district with water and gica' ly improve the service in that part ol the city. For years the water system has been turning in to the general lund oi the city irom $60,000 lo $75,000. after paying all operating expenses, includ ing the ordinary expenses. In l&li" the cliy treasury received over $71,000 from Ihe waterworks and the total revenue from ihat BOUrce was $131,000. If all the water money were to be devoted de-voted to waterworks improvements, there would be no necessity to call on the people to vote bonds. But this lj a matter of determining whether the funds to keep the city government going shall be deriveu irom the one pocket or the other.
