| Show from saturdays daily june A runaway yesterday afternoon about a team belonging to mr david eo cles alio popular ogden lumber chant took fright and ran away smashing the wagon breaking har neej and slightly a young man joseph who was driving the team II 11 seems thu the young man accompanied baian other gentleman in ahe employ of mr eccles had just dirven away from the U P freight depot where they had left a flotd of doors and windows they had no box upon the wagon a few dump boards being used instead just the horsma were crossing the U fc N track and walking down a mall incline one of the dump boards slipped forward on to the back of th off animal the horse euime gave a plunge forward and both started off nt a furious gait doth gentlemen who by the way silting on opposite aidea of the wagon immediately pulling vigorously on th a lines but to no pose the horses keeping on scattering the boards along tho road at this the drivers companion made a jump forward attempting to catch one of the horses by the head bt he did not succeed and was left by the ro adgide the driver still hung to tho lines and when the team had reached half a block further they madly dashed through a slough breaking the wagon tongue io hie places mr artoon bow thought it was lime for him to jump ana accordingly he did so landing on liis feet hut the force with which he alighted prevented him from keeping hla equilibrium and ho fall pinking back and head on the hard ground the horses then became disengaged from the now demoralized wagon and were stopped not far from mr eccles while clr hi asior recovering from the shock and being assisted by hh who had by alua line como up with him hollowed uj tho team mr II 11 feek pretty stiff today to day and though not seriously injured and expecting to be able to resume work on monday daoa not feel like undergoing der going another like acock very scon tho wagon was ft wreck a WM the garnem but the horses were uninjured and arc being worked to lay as usual |
