Show Strikers' Committee Prepare Statement The following statement was issued yesterday by the secretary of ho do-fense do-fense committee of strikers from the Globe and Sperry mills: Editor Standard-Examiner: Dear Sir: "We desire to state for the benefit of the people of Ogden that in a conversation con-versation the committee had with Mr. Waugh yesterday, he said he had I never given anything for publication to the Standard-Examiner and that he knew the best mechanics were In the various local unions. If the people of Ogden are going go-ing to stand by and see the town run by outside people then it is time for all the mechanics to go where the people peo-ple let the building contractors alone. "We want to say that tho Associated Industries is not headed by builders, but by material men, and they in turn want to reduce wages and not the material ma-terial or tho cost of living."
