Show Minister Faces a Warrant on Leaving the Penitentiary OWATONNA. Minn.. April 3 Rev. JaineR Morrison Darnell, former pastor of the l nlversallst church hern was arrested today at Kockford, III., aecord-lnp aecord-lnp to word received here, on a bench warrant Issued by Judge A. B 'i;l dpeie of the Steele county district court. He is under Indictment lor deserting de-serting his five year old son. James Morris n Darnell. Jr , who lives here with hi mother. Ruth Soper Darnell. Dar-nell. The Indictment wag returned by the Steele county grand Jury February 17. Mrs. Darnell was granted a divorce by the Steele county district court Jons 26. 1917, shortly after Rev. Darnell Dar-nell was released from the federal penitentiary at Leavenworth, where he served term for violation of the Mann act. County Attorney F A. Alexander w-ent to St. Paul yesterday to procure extradition papers and Sheriff William J.eehy has notified the Rorkford officials offi-cials to hold Darnell In custody. |
