Show Utah Delegation at Chicago; Meets Tojsighi Ogden's delegation to the Republican Republi-can national convention has arrived in Chicago and the Utah hcadquar-. ters at the Great Northern hotel is beginning to hum with activity, according ac-cording to dispatches which reached Ogden this morning. The Utah delegation del-egation is away from most of the. convention bustle, as only the Arizona Ari-zona and the Alabama delegations are at the Great Northern. Senator Heed Smoot has arrived and has been in conference with the platform committee. The delegates have given no intimation inti-mation of, whom they aviII vote for, but it is understood Wood is the lfaorite candidate. Delegates, alternates and spectators in Chicago include Heed Smoot, C. E. Loose, Provo; J. C. Lynch, Salt Lake; J. U. Eldredge, Jr.. Ogden; Mrs. Jeannelle A. Hyde, Salt Lake: J Harold P. Fabian. Fred C. Loofbour-jow, Loofbour-jow, D. S. Spencer, Glenn Miller and Ernest R. Woolley, Salt Lake. Mr. Spencer is getting earfuls of politics between railroad business meetings. Former Governor William Spry and L. R. Anderson. Manti, are due to arrive today with other Utahns. I oo i |
