Show II- HOTEL MEN PRAISE OGDEN. " - ' I - Ou baiurday the hotel men of the northwest, en route to the convention of "Greetcns," were entertained at the New Ilealy hotel, given a drive through Ogdcn canvou and made welcome at the Weber club. The visitors said they had gone through Ogden at different times, but never had stopped long enough to see the place other than fpom the car windows. They were surprised at the size of the com-. com-. nifiiity, the evidences of prosperity and the many beautiful homes, -and more than one expressed a desire to return. .' Ogden, although a city of approximately 40,000, is not well known at any great distance from I? tali. There has boen but little effort made in the direction of "boosting" as do California towns and cities. Here the people and even the large interests are content to allow the community to grow without forcing, to expand in a gradual way. Out on the coast there is a constant straining to get populaton. " Some day the enthusiastic promoter will invade Ogden and over night the city will put on a new attire and, pushing ahead at an astounding rate, outclass all its neighbors in the intcrmountain region. re-gion. . . , |
