Show oo Tliinning of Sugar Beets Well Under Way NORTH OGDEN, June 12 Thinning of sugar beets Jn North Ogden is almost al-most completed and the crop is looking look-ing well. The harvest of the first crop of alfalfa is under way and the yield is fairly good. Mr. and Mrs, Budd Weaver arc re joicing over tho birth of their first child, a daughter, born June 4 The mother was formerly Miss Josephine Cooley. John Q. Blaylock of the Weber nor mal college faculty, is doing postgrad uate work at the Brigham Young university uni-versity at Provo, and Miss Veda Ber-rett, Ber-rett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C Borrelt, is doing similar work at the University of Utah. It is expected that a large number of people from North Ogden will go to the Logan temple on the excursion arranged ar-ranged for Juno 25. Arrangements are being made for a celebration on the Fourth of July. The committee is composed of William N. Barker, Harold Campbell, Edmund Marshall, Florence Manning and Florence Flor-ence Snooks. |
