Show I WINTER DAYS NOT HERE. With a flurry of snow this morning, more than one Ogdenite had reached the conclusion that winter had been ushered in most an-ceremoniously an-ceremoniously and prematurely, but, inasmuch as one swallow does not make a summer, one snowflake docs not bring winter. This unofficial opinion is reinforced by a declaration from the meteorologist in charge of the Utah weather hureau who offers thi reassuring statement that the storms of the past two days are not the beginning of winter and clear days and much sunshine are to be expected, with October a period of Indian summer. Quoting the weather man is like quoting politii al authority some will accept and others will not. But with fair weather predicted, pre-dicted, there is reason to believe that storm conditions have passed The weather experts are most reliable in determining storm areas and reading aright the barometric changes which tell of fair weather. There is one thing though, which seems to upset all calculations. Whatever the experts may predict, conference should bring storm. It would be most unusual, if conference wen- a period of sunshine |
