Show Capt. Douglas Is Organizer of ! Speakers' Bureau Captain Royal Douglas, at present assistant city attorney of Ogden city, has been appointed organizer and chairman of the zone speakers' bureau bu-reau for the thirteenth zone of the American Legion, which includes Utah and Colorado. His appointment was announced tentatively sume time ago. but he has jusi received his official appointment from Fairfield Osborn, Jr., chairman of the national speakers' bureau of the legion. The country is divided into fifteen Bones, each zone to have a speakers' bureau, the duties of which will be to send speakers to various points to urge organization into posts of the legion le-gion and to urge affiliation of those clubs that have been formed outside of the legion. There is also a national bureau of speakers, of which Mr. Osborn is chairman. chair-man. The national speakers will tour the' United States between now, and next November, when the big convention conven-tion is to be held in Minneapolis, to stimulate interest in the legion by ex plaining its purposes and aims. There are three speakers in the national na-tional bureau besides Mr. Osborn, one of whom is Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. The other two are John F. Herbert and Chaplain John W. Inger. oo |
