Show 6. DE WIT DIES 1 OGDEN WHILE ON 1 VISIT TO SONS G. DeWit, 69 years of age, died at UlS Dee hospital at 2:30 this morning, morn-ing, following an operation for appendicitis. appen-dicitis. Mr. DeWit arrived in Ogden last Friday 10 visit his sons L. E. and N. B. DeWit of DeWit Brothers Regularly, Regu-larly, every two years, he has made a practice of making a visit to his sons in Utah and this was one of the f.imily reunions. On Monday Mr. Do Wit was conveyed to the hospital and' it was discovered he had suffered a ruptured appendix He was the oldest employe in the mail service of San Jose, California, j his home town. He leaves a wife and six children, and his wife daughter and son will accompany the body home. The body may be viewed at Kirkn-daU'a Kirkn-daU'a from 2 to 8 this afternoon Ati midnight the funeral party will board the train for the coast Mr. DeWit was born in Germany 69 years ago, but he had been a citizen citi-zen of the United States for 15 years. There is some uncertainty as to the: time of the services in San Jose. It seems that the undertakers and the grave diggers of that California city will not make burials on Sundays and consequently the date must be fixed some time other than Sunday, |
