Show REOPENING THE COAL MIES IN WYOMING DISTRICTS J T. Hill, general sales agent of the i Lion Coal company, and Wyoming Coal company of this city, following telegraphic announcements that the Wyoming coal miners are to return to work at once, announced last night that the mines operated by the two companies at Rock Springs, v. no. would be re opened this morning. D H Pape, '-neral manager of the oal companies, attended the confer i race of operators and union leaders at Cheyenne and yesterday went to Roi k Springs to re-open the mines which for the past two weeks have been closed down. H. C. Marehant, general manager of tne Superior Rock Springs Coal com pany, and P. N. Bletcher, treasurer of the Premier 'nal company, are boih in Rock Springs attending to the details necessary for iho reopening of the mines Mr. Hill said that he did not understand the new scale would be retroactive re-troactive but would follow in substance sub-stance the scale adopted for use in the central competitive field. |
