During the past two years the city administration has made, perfected per-fected and protected the tilinirs and rights of the city in water reservoir and power sites and has made careful investigation to obtain ob-tain the best possible location. From the.-e investigations I am j convinced that the Skull Crack location lo-cation has the greatest possibilities possibili-ties and lhat view is supported by such eminent authorities and experts as Dr. Fortier and A. F. Parker If elected, I shall continue con-tinue my efforts to the end that igdon shall have an adequate supply of water. Claude T. Moycc' Statement. "One of the questions that I have been confronted with during m campaign is 'How Is it that ybu did not seek this office be- ; fore''' to which I have replied that It has always been my theory that a man should be given at least one term to acquaint himself with the J affairs of th office, and that he should be entitled to another term to repay him tor such efforts. And in this connection I want to sa that I have never heard our present city auditor's woik criticised criti-cised but I do feel that all of h'.s efforts have now been fully repaid Therefore I feel justified 1 in seeking the office, at this time. "I want to sa further that I have made no pre-election prom- I Ises, for the appointment of deputies, depu-ties, and that until I am in the office and have made a close inspection in-spection and Investigation of the records and present methods of handling the samp I will be unable to say whether or not I would desire de-sire to make any changes in that respect, but if 1 should find that the installation of a more modern system of accouutlng would facilitate facili-tate the handling of the work and effect a saving to the city, I would spare no effort to ir-at eqd." oo |
