Show hot bolls ittrict the soldiers to the c1teen , Hot rolls, cakes and steaming coffee made the canteen an attractive place to soldiers this morning and the gracious gra-cious hospitality of Mrs. A. R Bow- I man and Mrs. LeRoy Buchmiller, the workers in charge, made it that much more so. There Is something phychologically true about the fact that joy malies joy, and it is certainly evident at the canteen. As soon as tho boys enter and see that they aro more than welcome, wel-come, that everything is at their ser vice without any trouble to anyone, the attitude is assumed by them, and the atmosphere rings with geniality and wholesome, happy noise. They linger until the very last moment, and reluctantly leave to catch the train that bears them away. It is the entering en-tering greeting which will make or break the popularity of any place, particularly par-ticularly a canteen, where boys enter strangers and hope to go away firm and fast friends. And this" morning, as upon many mornings during the week, friends were made for Ogden and the canteen workers, in less time than any place on record just "between trains" to be absolutely correct. And it is a friendship which will long linger in the minds of the passing soldier, and it is just, such treatment which will I label Ogden as the best canteen "on I i either side." i i i |
