Its publication is called forth by tho fact that pacificism has long been a part of tho Masonic creed and Masons may be disposed to consider seriously the peace proposals which will bo forthcoming from the central powers. In view of the German ag- Igression which brought on the world war, the Serbian Masons want it clearly clear-ly understood that they are not pacifists. paci-fists. At least, they make plain their ! conviction that an immediate and premature pre-mature peace cannot meet in any way the earnest desire of true Masonry. Following this, statement is a summary sum-mary in outline of the piratic international interna-tional policies sanctioned by Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, and Bulgaria Bulga-ria before and since the opening of the war. The supremo council argues that nothing but a complete cessation of these practices will make the world safe to live in. A peace which makes possible a continuation of such depredatory depre-datory dealings Is no peace at all, but slavery.
