Show oo FIREMEN ARE TO RETURN TO WORK Chief Graves of the Fire Department Depart-ment has received word that five former for-mer members of the department expect ex-pect to be released from their military duties shortly. They will all be given their old positions at the fire station. W. E. Dean returned from the infantry in-fantry officers' training school at Camp McArthur, Waco, .Tex., and has exchanged his khaki uniform for one of blue. If things had continued, ho would have received a commission on December 15. Among tho others expected ex-pected soon are Ben Libby, Ft. Logan, Colo.; Parley Jensen and Henry Comb? at Camp Lewis; L. Ti. Bart-mesE. Bart-mesE. naval aviation, France; and Bruce Hamilton, U. S. S. Richmond. Norfolk, Va. The young men appointed recently will draw lots to see who quits the service. When the moro experienced fighters left they were promised a place if they wanted it on their return re-turn and the youngsters were hired onj that condition. I |
