Show Minister Forced To Sign Resignation MUNICH, Saturday, Dec. 7. A crowd of armed soldiers last night went to the residence of the minister of ,the interior and after forcing an entrance demanded the minister's resignation, res-ignation, which he conceded. The revolutionists rev-olutionists also stormed the newspaper newspa-per offices except one. They withdrew with-drew cevoral hours later at the earnest request of the Bavarian premier, Kurt Eisner, who hurried to the scene. Herr Auer, the minister whose resignation res-ignation was demanded, was given two minutes to decide at the point of a revolver. Ho was then forced to put his resignation into writing and demanded de-manded a statement that the resignation resigna-tion was voluntary. The crowd was led by the former editor Erich Mueh-sen. Mueh-sen. They proceeded from a communist com-munist meeting to the office of the Bavarian Courier and appointed a woman as editor of that newspaper. The Neuste Nachrichten was the only Munich paper able to appear thlsf morning. 1 |
