Show ALLIES MAKING Advance Nearly Two Miles and Americans Recapture Two More Villages. PARIS, July 24. Highly important gains by tho French and American forces on the Aisnc-Marne front arc reported in the official statement of the war office tonight In the center of the line and advance of nearly two miles was made. Desperate engagements engage-ments were fought in the direction of Epleds and Trugny Epleds, which villages vil-lages tho Americans again re-captured from the Germans. To the north of Epieds, the Franco-American line ia now beyond Courpoll. The main railroad Is now useless so far as the Germans are concerned, while the heavy guns of the allies are reaching many of the wagon roads whicli the enemy has fought so hj.rd to retain.
