Show oo MISKE KNOCKS OUT JIM FLYNN IN SECOND TULSA, Okla., Dec. 1G A right cross to the ear, followed by a short left jab to tho point of the chin, delivered de-livered by Billy Miske of SL Paul, sent Jim Flynn into dreamland after one minute and forty-threo seconds of the second round of a scheduled fifteen-round fifteen-round bout at Convention hall tonight. Miske floored Flynn in the opener and Jim was down nino and one-half seconds when the gong saved him. Gritty old battler that Flynn is, he i responded readily enough in the second, sec-ond, but Miske's youth, ngillty and absolute class proved too many in-1 gredients for the Flynn prescription and he was felled three times. The first time eight seconds passed before he wearily clambered back into fighting position; the second he stayed down nine seconds, slowly and surely ebbing away, and when he came back again Miske performed the feat aforementioned. afore-mentioned. Though Flynn hardly landed a blow, two being the sum total of his destruction, destruc-tion, it must bo said that the heart was again there with the old warrior and where he might have saved himself him-self much punishment by clinching, he tore into his man as though he were the aggressor. on |
