Show PROF. B1I ALDER IS TO LECTURE TO POULTRY AH A rousing meeting of Weber county poultry men, members of the association associa-tion and any others who wish to attend, at-tend, will be held tomrorow night in tile city hall, and Prof. Byron Alder, j of the poultry department of the Utah I Agricultural college, will be present to deliver a lecture. The poultry men are faced with a serious problem this year in the cost of their chicken feed and they have requested Trof. Alder to discuss this feature. "War rations as a substitute for the present expensive food" will be the subject. Tho Wphor nnnntv nssnninfinn f? taking much satisfaction from its success suc-cess in securing Judge James A. Tucker of Michigan as the judge for the annual poultry show which will bo held January 15 to 18, 191S. Judge Tucker is said to be one of the best poultry judges in the world and a pen full of birds which have had his keen eye look them over are classified at their whole value, the poultrymen state. He has officiated at some of the best poultry shows in the country and Is equipped with broad experience. The Weber County Poultry association associa-tion has assets now amounting to more than a thousand dollars, including includ-ing exhibition pens and other equipment equip-ment which is used generally by the members and any others during shows and fair exhibitions. Invitations will be issued to poultry fanciers of tho state to exhibit their birds with the local men at the annual show, and many prize fowls are expected. nn |
