Show J- REGULATIONS Strict quarantine of influenza shall be observed in Ogden City. The existence of influenza shall be indicated in every house in which it exists by placing in a conspicuous place thereon a placard with the name "INFLUENZA" thereon, j The City Board of Health shall cause a house to be placarded immediately upon a report that influenza exists there, j Quarantine shall be maintained for a period of at least ten days after the last day of fever of the last case in the house. I No person shall enter or leave a quarantined house, except a j doctor or nurse, without special permission of the Board of Health. Ill Any person entering a quarantined house without permission shall be required to remain during the period of the quarantine, unless otherwise ordered by the Board of Health. The same day that cases of influenza are discovered by doctors, doc-tors, a written report giving the name and address of the person I afflicted shall be made to the Board of Health. Every person having knowledge of, or suspecting the existence exist-ence of influenza shall immediately report the same to the Board of Health. Persons residing outside of Ogden City, where quarantine regulations are not of equal strictness with those of Ogden City, shall not be permitted to enter Ogden City unless they are able I to exhibit a certificate of good health. No special sales shall be held and no such sales shall be advertised. ad-vertised. Groups of three or more persons shall not be allowed to congregate on the streets, in the stores or in any public places of Ogden City. Street cars shall not carry more passengers than the seating capacity will accommodate, and persons shall not be permittee to stand in cars or on the platform. All top ventilators in street cars shall be kept open when carrying passengers. All cars must be properly fumigated and heated before lea-vino the barn. Street car operatives shall be held personally responsible for violations of street car regulations. No persons shall be permitted in Railway Stations except on business. I I I IIIIMl 1 ,M There shall be no public funerals, and services at cemeteries . 1 shall not exceed thirty minutes. " 1 There shall be no viewing of the remains of persons having died of influenza, except by the immediate family. All persons attending upon patients suffering from influenza, and all barbers, dentists, clerks, elevator operators, and others of similar occupations, and persons coming into close contact with the public, shall wear masks. All masks shall be sterilized at least twice a day by boiling fifteen minutes or by placing in a newspaper in an oven and baking until the newspaper is brown. j The number of passengers to be carired in an elevator shall be prescribed in writing by the Board of Health. Parents are required to keep their children on their own promises. These regulations shall be added to by order of the Board of j Health as circumstances require. These regulations shall become effective immediately and shall remain effective until otherwise ordered by the Board of Health. Violators of these regulations will be prosecuted and will be ; . punished by fine or imprisonment.- ! These regulations were duly adopted, as special regulations, ' by the Board of Health of Ogden City, Utah, on the 26th day of November, 1918, at 10 o'clock A.
