SUPE1TEHNT0F SUNDAY SCHOOLS A number of changes which affect several auxiliary organizations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were announced yesterday by the general authorities. As president of the Salt Lake temple, tem-ple, Elder Anthon H. Lund of the first presidency of tho Church was selected and sot apart to succeed the late Joseph Jo-seph F. Smith. Elder David O. McKay of the coun-' cil of twelve apostles was chosen and set apart as general superintendent of the Deseret Sunday School Union board, Elder Stephen L. Richards as first assistant and Elder George D. Pyper as second assistant Elder McKay succeeds the late President Smith in this position and Elder Pyper advances lrom the post of secretary. To be general superintendent of the Young Men's Mutual Improvement association.-,, Elder Anthony W. Ivins was selected and set apart to succeed suc-ceed the late President Smith, with Elder Brigham H. Roberts and Elder Richard R. Lyman as his counsellors. Elders Ivins and Lyman are both members of the council of twelve apostles |
