Show 1 AT THE ORPHEUM. One of tho best theatrical productions produc-tions given in this city during tho winter win-ter season was "Wo Aro Seven" at the Orpheum theater last night by the University of Utah. Dramatic club. Tho Dramatic club has produced the play in all the larger Utah cities and has pleased in every instance. John Lochhoad, as Peter Avery, essayed es-sayed the lead role and handled the part with the excellence of a professional. profes-sional. DIantha Kerr is assumed by Miss Majorlo Burrows and with magnificent mag-nificent skill and effect Miss Burrows, in tho cast, is the co-star of the delightful de-lightful Mr. Lockhard and she is the co-star in fact and effect. Tho story of "We Aro Seven" is pe culiarly ploasing and especially well adapted for tho dramatic, if comedy can be classed as dramatic. Tho masculine mas-culine hero who seeks to chaperono the faminlnc star, trle3 It out on the bluff that ho is deaf and dumb had he been actually blind, he might have made good. To make his job more perilous and tedious and hilarious, the pretty Diantha is a eugenic. The situations aro properly produced; produc-ed; tho conversation is sparkling; and tho story generally is acceptable. The supporting cast has merit and everyone every-one in the big attendance at the Orpheum Or-pheum last evening wero pleased without exception. |
