Show Deaths and Funerals GREGORY William V. Gregory died Saturday In the hospital after an operation for appendicitis. His home is in Alma, Wyo. Tho body was taken thero Saturday evening. M'FAR LAND The funeral of Errol Faddls McFarland will bo held at 3 p. m. today In the family residence with Bishop W. O. Ridges officiating. Interment will be in Ogden City cemetery. ceme-tery. COTTLE George John Cottle, a pioneer of Utah of 1866 and' village blacksmith of Hooper for the past 43 years, died at 9:15 a. in. Sunday at his home In Hooper, of cancer. He had suffered for a long time with the disease. Mr. Cottlo was born in Bristol, Bris-tol, Eng.. February 3, 1850, and lived thero with his parents during boyhood. boy-hood. He came to Utah in 1866 and settled in Hooper. Ho was an earnest worker in the Latter Day Saints church and was a member of the high priest's quorum. Ho is survived by the following: Mrs. Thomas Fowles of Hooper; Henry Cottle of Hooper; Mrs. Georgo Jensen of Hooper; George J. Cottle of Ogden; Richard Cottle of Big Piney; Mrs. Chauncey Munseo of Hooper; Mrs. N. J. Hinton of Hooper; Albert Cottle of Malta, Ida.; Miss Josephine Jo-sephine Cottlo of Ogden, and Orson P. Cottle. Tho last named has been on an eastern states mission for the pagt twenty months. He is also survived sur-vived by one sister, Mrs. A. A. Young of Salt Lako. WHITAKER Word reached Ogden at noon today of the death of Francis Thomas Whi taker, 2 year old baby of Samuel F. Whltaker. The child died at 11 a. m. at tho L. D. S. hospital at Salt Lake. Tho death was caused frm complications following n case of measles. The father is organist at tho tabernacle. Tho remains will arrive ar-rive this evening. Funeral arrangements arrange-ments will be announced later. |
