Show Society ANNOUNCE ENGAGEMENT. Mr. and Mrs. Timothy P. Terry wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ruby, to Frank Hickenloop-er. Hickenloop-er. The wedding will take place September Sep-tember 5. RETURNS HOME. Mrs. F. R. Eckhardt has returned home after a pleasant visit with her Bister, Mrs. Maude Ellis in Salt Lake. IN MORGAN. Mrs. F. R. Eckhardt and Mrs. Maudo Ellis are in Morgan for a short visit. ENJOYING DELIGHTS OF NORTHERN TRIP Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dodge and son left on the Yellowstone special Monday Mon-day evening for Big Springs, Idaho, for a two weeks' fishing and hunting trip, camping several miles from Big Springs on the Snake river. They will probably visit tho national park before be-fore returning to Ogden. MISS WILBUR HONORED AT NOVEL PARTY. A unique affair in the cool, fragrant air, at Harrlsvillo was presided over last evening by Mrs. A. Hall who entertained en-tertained in a charming manner for Miss Grace Wilbur, a September bride-to-be. The affair called together twelvo girl friends of Miss Wilbur and a variety of pretty gifts were showered upon the honor guesL Luncheon at this novel event was not of tho "pink tea" order, luscious roasted corn being served in true rural style and with the necessary auxiliaries, auxil-iaries, proved tempting; The table was artistic in varl-colored asters and bright petunias while at each plate were dainty place cards in design symbolistic sym-bolistic of the coming nuptial event. Hearts and brides' slippers were also arranged in an effective manner. Out on the lawn a canvas had been stretched and here dancing was enjoyed enjoy-ed during the evening. LEAVE FOR CHICAGO Mrs. J. D. Roberts departed yesterday yester-day for a few weeks' visit in Chicago. TO TOUR EAST Mr. and Mrs. George King went east yesterday for a several weeks' tour of the New England states. HERE ON VISIT Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Kiesel have as their guest their son, Fred W. Kiesel, of Sacramento, Cal. CONCLUDE VISIT HERE Mr. and Mrs. Inghram and young son have returned to their home in Plainville, Mich., after enjoying a visit at the home of Alexander Glen, this city. RECEPTION TONIGHT Today at high noon in tho Salt Lake temple, Miss Lila Eccles, daughter of Mrs. David Eccles, and Dean Brim-hall Brim-hall were wedded and tonight at 8 o'clock a brilliant wedding reception will bo accorded them at Ogden's beautiful Berthana. A large numben of friends from all over the state will be present TO VISIT PARK Miss Helen Soibold left Ogden on Sunday for a ten days' trip to Yellowstone. |
