Show CONTRABAND LIQUOR SEIZED AT OPHIR OPHIR, Aug. 27. As the result of a raid on his premises Saturday night and the finding of0 a large amount of contraband liquor, Pete Blami, proprietor pro-prietor of a hotel in this city, was found guilty today and fined $250 for violation of the "bone-dry" law. The raid, on the hotel was made by Sheriff Adamson, Deputy Sheriff William Wil-liam Tato and James Dunn of the police po-lice force of Ophlr, who found several hundred gallons of whiskey hidden in a small cellar under the hotel. The liquor li-quor was covered with kindling wood. Three fifty-gallon barrels of whiskey were included in the seizure. A second raid was made by the officers offi-cers tonight and approximately seventy-five gallons of liquor was seized. This liquor was found In the cellar of a residence, but the ownor p, was missing when the officers arrived. t |
