William t Blankenshlp yesterday afternoon dart- od from a group of playmates sitting on the curb in front of 142 South Twelfth East street, ran into tho street : and was struck and killed by an auto- mobile driven by Captain A. J. McDonald, Mc-Donald, commander of the military prison pri-son guard at Fort Douglas. The base of the skull was fractured and death was instantaneous. The child was the son of Mrs. Dorothy Dor-othy V. Blackenshlp, 1248 East First South street, and F. C. Blackenship, The parents have long been separt-cd. separt-cd. James was sitting on the curb with seven or eight other boys of his' own age. ' One of them, Ward Riser, 174 South Twelfth East street, had just started across the street with a little toy wagon and James was trying to overtake him when Captain McDonald's McDon-ald's automobile struck him. |
