Under the heading "Introducing Mr. Spencer" and illustrated with a photograph of the Ogden newspaper man, the following follow-ing appears In the most recent issue of this publication: Ernest T. Spencer, who is now managing man-aging editor of the Ogden (Utah) Examiner, Ex-aminer, Is a native of that city and has spent most of his fifteen yenrs of newspaper work on Utah newspapers. He started on the Ogden Standard in 1902 and has occupied various positions posi-tions on Ogden and Salt Lake City newspapers, shifting at times to the Mexican border when trouble threatened threat-ened and spending two years on tho staff of the Boise (Idaho) Statesman. He has also put a. little time on Pacific coast newspapers as a cartoonist cartoon-ist and special assignment man. He has contributed and illustrated short stories for various magazines and has written two vaudeville sketches which were successfully produced. As a schoolboy ho established in 1896 tho official paper of the Ogden public schools, which Is still enjoying life. oo |
