Show oo TOOELE WINS OVER MURRAY TEAM TOOELE, May 27 In a game which was featured by two injuries, one of which caused the gamo to be stopped, the fast Tooele team shut out the Murray Mur-ray contingent 10 to 0. In the fifth inning of the game Scott, the Tooele receiver, in attempting to catch a foul tip, received it on the end of his finger, fin-ger, and the member was broken. In the unlucky seventh, Lee Gordon, the second baseman for tho Murray team, attempted to tag Kelly, who was trying to steal second, and the result of the mixup was that Gordon's leg was broken. Because Murray had no substitute, and the game appeared settled, set-tled, Hannigan, tho umpire, called time. The break was not very serious, and Gordon was taken to Murray, where he is resting easily. The Tooele team has not been defeated de-feated this year and is desirous of meeting some team that is in its own class. No games have been scheduled for next Sunday and other dates are open for Sunday and holiday games. The batteries for today's game were: For Murray, Wood and Baker; for Tooele, Scott and Ambrose. |
