Show American Flower$ to , Bloom at Stockholm Flowers from Yellowstone park will soon blossom In the royal gardens of the Swedish capital, according to word received In Washington by the United States national park service from Prof. H. 8. Conrad of Urlnnetl college, col-lege, director of the lecture and nature na-ture guide service In the park. During Dur-ing the recent tour of Crown Prince Gustavo Adolphus and his consort through Yellowstone Natlonnl park, Professor Conrad was detailed to accompany ac-company the royal party and to give the prince, whom he found to be an enthusiastic and well-informed botanist, bot-anist, the benefit of his Intimate knowledge of the mountain flora. Professor Conrad has shipped to Stockholm a collection of the rarer species of Yellowstone plants, not as yet represented In the royal herbarium, herbari-um, and he has also sent seeds of a number of the choicer flowers which, It Is hoped, will become permanent American representatives at the Swedish Swed-ish court. |
