Show oo 1 Society AFTERNOON TEA The ladies of Queen Esther chapter chap-ter No. 4, O. E. S., will give an afternoon aft-ernoon tea tomorrow from 3 until 5 o'clock. SURPRISE PARTY. Mr.- Henry Lundahl, at 1635 Grant, was more than surprised when a few of his friends walked in on him Friday Fri-day evening. The evening was spent in games. Mr. A. Spars showed some of his splendid card tricks. Lunch was served. Quartette by Messrs. Collins, Col-lins, T. J. Jacobsen and Watson. Those present were Mrs. and Mrs. E. W. Larson, O. T. Sodeburg, H. Lundahl, Lun-dahl, L. Collins, A. Wright, C. Capper, A. Parrot, J. Jacobsen, C. Larson, E. Larson,, Edward Baide, O. Spars, Charlie Caiser, Luth Larson of Salt Lake, George. Collins, Margaret Sodeburg, Sode-burg, Dora Sodeburg, Mildred Larson. OLD-TIME PARTY The annual Weber Stake "Old Time Sociable and Hop" will be held tonight to-night in the Berthana hall and residents resi-dents from all parts of the stake and county' are expected to attend. The affair, which will mark the opening of the Berthana for the 1916-17 season, sea-son, has been anticipated for the past six weeks and the committee has made elaborate arrangements for the entertainment of the guests. A choice program of new and old time dances will be danced, punch will be served in the banquet room, throughout the evening. The hall will be opened at 8 o'clock and the dancing danc-ing will begin a half hour later FAREWELL PARTY. Glen Wright, son of Mr. ana Mrs. Joseph K. Wright, and Eugene Ridges, Rid-ges, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Ridges, will be guests of honor at a farewell party to be given In the Weber academy hall Friday night, under un-der the auspices of the Ninth ward. The young men are to depart for New Zealand, Nov. 16, to servo as Mormon Mor-mon missionaries. The farewell party will include a literary and musical program, from 8 to 9 o'clock, and dancing from 9 until 12. |
