I BT THE POLICE ' As clean as the sweep of the Bourbons Bour-bons over Weber county yesterday, was the election day police court blotter, blot-ter, not a single arrest having been made in the city since Monday night. Today's police court session was therefor there-for occupied with cases of offenders booked before the election polls were opened. The judge Avas in lenient mood and suspended sentence on several disciples disci-ples of Bacchus, as Avell as on several automobilists taken into custody for not having tail lights on their cars. The only offender to suffer a sentence of imprisonment was Ray Craig, Avho is iu serve iu aays ior drunkenness. He was arrested on lower Twenty-fifth stret, Monday night, by Officers Noblo and Wiggins, George Deyo, an alleged drunk, forfeited $5 bail. When the case of the city vs. Jack-Hardy, Jack-Hardy, Alex Shupe and Joe Henry Avas called, Henry Avas the only defendant to appear. The ball of Hardy and Shupe, $5 each, Avas declared forfeited. The men Avere charged Avith disturbing the peace and Avere arrested Saturday night at Hudson avenue and Twenty-fourth Twenty-fourth stret by Patrolman Canfield J and Detective Naylin. Henry pleaded not guilty and his trial Avas continued until tomorroAv morning. |
