In a prospectus, covering the new bond issues of tho Western Pacific, we find that the Utah road lost ?18,- 1 750,000 in second mortgage bonds; $8,200,000 in Interest accrued and un- j paid; $17,500,000 in funds advanced I on promissory notes, and $4,800,000 1 interest accrued and unpaid on notes; I or a total of $49,250,000. j No railroad less firmly established 1 than the Denver & Rio Grande could I have met a loss so large without 1 going into the hands of a receiver.
