Show vu 1SEBSLL LEAGUE TO BE 01IIZED I EIGHT CITIES Preliminary plans for the organization organiza-tion of tho recently proposed intercity inter-city baseball league, with Ogden as its centor, are now well under way and it is expected that the league will bo formed and the schedule opened within with-in the next three weeks. The teams now lined up are the combined Utah Light &. Power. company-Eagles' lodge, the Utah-mades and Never-Rips of Ogden, tho combined Garland-Tre-monton team, Brigham City, Wells-ville Wells-ville and Layton. Park City is also expected to como in, but thus far no definite word has been received from the baseball interests of that city. Next Sunday, tho local fans will he given tho first opportunity to see tho league teams in action, a game having hav-ing been arranged between the Utah-modes Utah-modes and the Brigham City nine, to be played Sunday afternoon at Glcn-wood. Glcn-wood. Both teams have taken advan-take advan-take of every opportunity during the past month for practice. The contest Sunday afternoon will bo a return game, as the Utahmades will play tho Brigham City boys in their own town Saturday afternoon. |
