Mfr and Mrs. James Harrop were pleasantly surprised at their home, 438 Washington Washing-ton avenue, the occasion being Mr. Harrop's sixty-fourth birthday anni-1 anni-1 - versary The evening was spent at cards .-ii ! and after a tempting luncheon was served, Mr?. S Harrop, Mr. E. Har-rop Har-rop and Miss Cleone Harrop rendered Dii several musical selections. Those present were: Messrs and Mesdames Gus Anderson, W. G. Yer- ger, Walter Douglass, W. A Harrop, i Sanford Harrop, Earl Harrop, the Misses Edith and Cleone Harrop and Mastere Raymond, Joyce. Blaine and Vera Harrop. MEETING OF MISSIONARY SOCIETY. Over fifty of the Baptist missionary men and women were entertained last night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Gebhart, 2621 Barlow avenue The program which proved most excellent, ex-cellent, was as follows: Instrumental music Ruth Johnson; prayer by the pastor, H. D. Zimmerman; Zimmer-man; a letter was read by Mrs. G. U. Zimmerman telling of Dr. Ash-more's Ash-more's work in Canton, China, in the Baptist seminary, piano duet, Erma Moore and Myrtle Shields. Mrs. F. Conner gave a most Interesting talk on the Indian work done by the missionaries; mis-sionaries; vocal duet. Mr. and Mrs Andy Fletcher. At the close, Mrs. J. P. Ward, daughter of Mrs Gebhard, rendered three beautiful ocal duets. The people feel fortunate that Mrs. Ward comes to Ogden bringing her musical talent to devote to the work here. Delicious refreshments concluded a delightful evening. L. A. TO O. R. C. Members of the Social club and their husbands were most delightfully entertained at the residence of Will-lam Will-lam Wilson. Thirtieth street and Wall avenue, Thursday evening, by Sisters Wilson. Hayes and Harlan. Frangrace from profusions of ar-natlynB, ar-natlynB, red and white, rilled the rooms. Sweet strains of musk from the beautiful Victrola filled all with love ami harmony Protrressive high five wa? played, and Mrs. Mignault gained first hon-"r hon-"r Al White received a very pretty pret-ty and useful ashtray, consolation, cut prize, a lovely picture by George McFarland.
