A vigorous campaign undertaken by the French government to punish persons who have profited unduly from tho needs of the nation is well under way. Jean Bus-serat, Bus-serat, a tent manufacturer, who obtained ob-tained orders for 3,500,000 franco worth of goods by tho payment of commissions, has been sentenced to ten years' imprisonment and a heavy fine. Three othor business mon convicted con-victed on similar charges were sentenced sen-tenced to prison. nn
