The petltidn related that the petitioners had negotiated with the detective agency for service and they felt that police powers granted the company would bo of advantage. The petition hns been under advisement advise-ment for some time. Tho board directed that $50 bo taken tak-en from the mayor's contingent fund to oefray expenses for the Joint Iluntsville-Ogden pioneer day celebration celebra-tion at Huntsville. The city auditor wns authorized to draw a warrant for the amount. Tho estimate of the J P. O'Neill Construction company, for work done In curb and gutter district No. 114, in the sum of $10,657.1S, was allowed and' the auditor directed to draw a warrant for the amount. Tho same action was taken on the estimate of Contractor Charles E. Reed for work in sidewalk district No. 136, amounting amount-ing to S4.245.S1. -oo |
