C , Do. 15 The Flank of Vancouver suspended pay-ment pay-ment last night In a formal statement, state-ment, the directors said that failuro to obtain financial assistance, owin? ; to the war and lack of public confidence, confi-dence, joined with Inability to col-lert col-lert outstanding accounts, had led to the bank's suspension. The directors said they hoped, if arrangements could be made, to reopen after the Statutory period of ninety days The bank's assets at the elose of business busi-ness were $1,098,000 and its liabilities were deposits ot $379,000 and a note trculatlou of $:'.L'5.000. The shareholders are principally Vancouver men.
