In the Argonne the French advanced several of their trenches. The text of the command follows "The enemy yesterday showed a similar activity in the region of I Ypres. He directed several attacks against our lines, three of which were completely repulsed. At one single loint on the front the Germans succeeded suc-ceeded in reaching one of our first line trenches.
