Wheat today showed weakness influenced by lower ppot quotations at Liverpool Heavy buying on the. dip, however, rallied the market, prices at one time rising slightly above last night's level, but failing to hold. It was said that yesterday's yes-terday's advance here had checked the European business. After open- i ing 1-8 to 7-8c off and then recovering, recover-ing, the market steadied at a little i below the previous close. Fine weather oased corn. Trade though was small. The opening which varied from a shade to l-8c lower, was followed by frequent changes within l-4c range. In oats thore was a fair commission commis-sion demand at the outset, but wants were soon filled Wheat weakness deterred buyers Provisions hardened as a result of , scattered buying Sellers were scarce, j During the last hour the wheat , I markot became firmer In consequence 0 of diminishing receipts at western primary pri-mary points The close was steady at the same as last night to a shad" off.
