The broad, low couch was covered with cream whito velour and banked Bwlth pillows, covered In pastelle colors col-ors of India silks, of lavender, corn ? color, pale blue, deep green, warm tan and rose pink, with one big Hn-fjf Hn-fjf gerle-covered pillow, heart-shaped, in ' their midst A Porslan rug of soft tans and i; pink shades covered the polished floor and a white fur rug lay before 1 ; the brass-fitted fireplace. ' A bamboo tea-wagon glistened with '. white Beleek china, with its soft !; green lining, and the dressing table I was fitted with ivory, with lace and pink covers. , Bamboo book shelves filled the space beside the pretty desk, before which was a deep, comfortable chair, cushioned in pink brocade, and shielded shield-ed from the open fire by a double glass screen, rose and Cupid painted 1 and framed in brass.
