Show SIX PRISONERS IE SENTENCED 0! IE CITY JUDGE E. Fitzgerald, a drunk, whose case was taken under advisement by Judge Reeder yesterday morning, was sentenced to servo 50 days in jail, at today's session of court. Fitzgerald was arrested by Officer Mclntyru at the Union depot, Wednesday night, on complaint of Manager Conners of the Troy laundry. The charge was indecent inde-cent exposure and though a number of witnesses could have appeared against him. they refused to do so. The case appeared to be well defined, however, on hearsay evidence by the arresting officer, but owing to a lack of direct evidence the criminal charge was changed to one of druukenness, to which he pleaded guilty. John Rose, charged with indecent exposure, received a sentence of 30 days in jail. He was arrested, at Lincoln avenue and Twenty-fifth street, about 9:30 laBt night by Patrolman Pa-trolman Blackburn. Jack Dee, a drunk, had his case taken under advisement. He was brought In at 12:55 a. m. today by Officer James Hearn. who found him on Lincoln avenue, between Twenty-fourth Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth streets. James Kichards was sentenced to pay a flue of $10 or to serve 10 days In jail. He was charged Vlth the theft of 19 lemons from the store of H. Gavros on Twenty-Hfth street yesterday yes-terday afternoon. The arrest was made by Officers Burk and Chambers. Chambers testified that he saw Richards Rich-ards putting the lemons into his shirt, one at a time, when the proprietor of the store had his atteutlou diverted. N. Smith was arrested last night at 363 Thirtieth street by Sergeant Layne on a charge of disturbing tho peace. His case was set for tomorrow tomor-row morning. William Seal was tried on a charge of petit larceny, the case In question being the theft of a laprobe from a buggy whloh was standing on Grant avenue, between Twenty-fourth ana Twenty-fifth street. He was arrested by Officers Chambers and Layne and the goods wero found on hlra. He confessod that he had stolon the robe, but It Is not known to whom it belongs. Ho was sentenced to' pay a fino of 15 or to Borve 15 days In jail. John McBride, who was arrested ar-rested with Seal on suspicion of having hav-ing been implicated in the stealing ; of the laprobe. was set free, owing to Seal taking all responsibility for the crime. W. Becker was sentenced to servo 30 days in jail for stealing a pair of shoes from the Golden Eagle store on Twenty-fifth street. He was tried yesterday and his case taken under advlsemenL William C. Barrett, the youth who was arrested by Detective Wardlaw on March 2S, for opening a letter which was entrusted to him to be mailed, was sentenced to serve 3D days in jail.
