Show tHJ VAGftBOWD TREATED TO S BATH (T THE COURT HOUSE i Old man Jim Ralney, who for the past number of years ha.s been the guest of a number of states and many counties as a vagabond, has departed for Salt Lake where he will sojourn until such time as his "welcome "wel-come Plays out," when, undoubtedly he will be given transportation to some other part of the state. It is said that his real home the place whore he spent most of his boyhood days Ie somewhere In southern Utah. This statement, however, is not altogether alto-gether authentic, as it is quite certain that if any of the officers knew where "Jim" was born he would be given transportation to that place. Ralney has been a visitor to Ogden before At one time ho was given an auto ride to the county poor farm but while he enjoyed the ride, he did not' care to live at Roy, so he came , back to Ogden, since when ho haB traveled much. Rainey returned to Ogden from Salt Lake a number of days ago and It was no little undertaking for the sheriff s force to get him scrubbed and cleaned. The bath was of good warm water and some mixture of soap and then the "bug juice" was turned on. His beard was trimmed and his hair shingled. All his clothes were burned and he was fitted out with a new outfit, out-fit, from the crown of his head lo the soles of his feet. |
