Show I ens it Tie I GIE II THE I ELEVENTH The Ogdon Canners won their Hj fourth game out of six played -with the Medicine Hat club yesterday aft-ornoon aft-ornoon by the score of S to 7. It took eleven inning6. however, to turn the trick and Bart Woolums was the hero. In the eleventh inning he hit a three-bagger to the new east-side billboard and beat Daniel's throw to the plate after the latter had caught Kossback's fly. I It was anybody'-, game up to the finish, the Canadians getting u lead of two runs in the first inning and the Canners going ahead in the third. The score was tied in the eighth and each got a run In tho ninth. Both were blanked in tho tenth and Woolums Wool-ums brought home the pork for the Canners in the eleventh. Woolums last hit, by the way, was the only three-bagger secured in the game. Hall was on the mound for Ogden and was touched for 13 hits. Six er- rors by his teammates may account to some extent for the somewhat I large number of blngles. The big southpaw, as usual did some fine fielding, getting six assists chalked up to his credit. He also struck out fcaven men and allowed four passes. Manager Dunn was on the mound for Medicine Hat and allowed 11 hits, walked five men and struck out eight. A unique feature of the game was that an equal number of men went to bat for each team, 41. The batting bat-ting of Whaljng was one of the fea-I fea-I tures. He hit safe five times out of six times up and three of his hlu ' were for two bases each, j In the first , inning the visitors I scored two runs ou two two-base hits I and in their half, the Canners were 3 blanked. In the second, Medicine Hat scored another one and Ogden scored two on a single by Raedel. Cobb and Jones got on the bases and Rlsberg and Carnes struck out ! Raedel then hit through third base, J bringing In the two scores. Hall made the third out by fanning. Medicine Hat sgot nothing in the ! third and Ogden went ahead two I points by gotting three runs. It hap-2 hap-2 pened thusly: Murphy was out on a J fly. Woolums got a single and then I purloined second. Rossback hit for two bags and Woolums scored. Jones was thrown out at first and Ross-back Ross-back went to third. Cobb was walk-I walk-I ed and stole second and in the ex-j ex-j citement Rossback stole home. Rls-j Rls-j berg's single scored Cobb and Carnen fanned. I In the fourth, Barth was thrown out at first. Daniel's singled and El stole second. Flieger was struck out 1 and Daniel's scored on Whaling's sin-I sin-I gle. Martin reached first on Carnesf I error and for the bad play, Carnes K was taken out of the game by Man-j Man-j ager Glmlin and replaced by Wens-y Wens-y ler. Hillman filed out, The Can- nors failed to progress in their half i and Medicine Hat did likewise In their half of the fifth. 1 Ogden got over one run In this I inning. Woolums was out on three I Btrikes and Rossback walked. Jones I hit for two bases and Rossback scor-I scor-I ed. Jones tried to stretch the hit for I another base and was put out in the attempt. Cobb singled and Rlsberg I was out at first. I The sixth started with a two-bag-I ger by Barth, Daniel's was out on a I foul fly and Flieger was out. Hall to I Woolums. Whaling duplicated Barth's I hit and the, latter scored. Martin flied out to Murphy, I Wessler was first up for the Can-1 Can-1 ners and got to second base on two 1 errors by Barth, poor pegs. Raedel I was out on a fly and Hall singled but I was put out trying to steal second. I Murphy flied to Daniels. I Both teams were blanked in the I Beventh and in the eighth, the visi tors scored one run on a hit and two errors. Ogden stood pat in their half. With (he score evened by Medicine Hat's run in the eighth It was held oven with a tally apiece In the ninth. Whaling hit for two bases and Mar tin advanced him with a sacrifice. Hillman walked and Dunn sacrificed, scoring Whaling. Hillman was out at second on Raedel's peg. The Canners secured theirs In this manner. Woolums got a two-bagger. RoBsback and Jones went out on flies. Cobb hit the pill for two bags and Woolums scored. Risberg flied out Both teams tightened up in the tenth and two goose eggs were chalked chalk-ed up. In the eleventh Whaling got a single and Daniels, Flieger and Martin were thrown out nt first. Murphy went to bat for Ogden and was out at first.
