Show LEON ALT. READ DIES OF LUNG CONGESTION Leonal T Read, the 23-year-old son of Mr, and Mrs J. G Read, died at 7 o'clock this morning at the residence resi-dence of hl6 grandfather, James Thomas, 2736 Washington avenue, following an lllnesB of lung congestion conges-tion of five days' duration lyeonal. with a party of friends, went to the Hot Springs on Thursda and en-Joyed en-Joyed 8 bath in the big pool. He became chilled on the way home and did not go to the camp of his parents par-ents in tho canyon but remained In town. On Friday he was taken to the; Hermitage where he grew steadily; worse until he was brought to Ogden on Monday. After completing the eighth grade he Was a student : at the Weber academy He. did not graduate from the school as he was taken with typhoid fever during the last of hla remaining year and did not finish On July 6, 1910. he left to fulfill a mission for the Mormon church, returning re-turning to Ogden on March 2 of this year He worked in the French mission mis-sion and was stationed moat of the time at Liege and Seraing, Belgium.; Reports from his superiors there show that he performed his duties with honor to himself and his church. Since his return he has been employed em-ployed in the J. G. R?ad and Brothers harness establishment on Twenty-fourth Twenty-fourth street He Is survived by his paronts, two brothers. Earl and Walter and one sister. Mary. Earl Read Is now in Belgium engaged in missionary work. The sudden death of Leonal came as a shock to his many friends. He wan an amateur musician of ability and before going on hla mission wa a member of the Weber academy band and orchestra and other amateur ama-teur organizations.
