Mr. Clark was a faithful and active ac-tive church worker. He was a member mem-ber of the high council or Ogden stakf He was also a director of the State School for the Deaf and the Blind. Those who survive Mr Clark are a widow, three sons and two daugh- S Isaac L. Clark. In better health than in several months Although he attended to his many business affairs for several weeks, he was obliged to remain home a month ago. He failed steadily until un-til the end came last night. All the members of his family were at his bedside. The parents of I. L. Clark were pioneers, pio-neers, coming over the plains In wagons wag-ons to Salt Lake. Soon after arriving, arriv-ing, the father and mother moved to Ogden and Mr. Clark was born in Ogden, September 10, 1853. His rather, ra-ther, Ibaac Clark, was the first Lai ter-day Saint bishop in Ogden and was at one time probate judge of this section. Mr. Clark received his early education educa-tion In the pioneer schools of Ogden. Og-den. His father had died when tw was six months old. so early in lire he knew what It was to be In respon sible positions He began a general merchandise business on a small scale on Wash lngton avenue on the site or the present pres-ent I L Clark & Son stores, in 1SS!. At first everything was handled from produce and groceries to dry goods, but some of the departments have been dropped with the growth of the store At the time of his death, Mr. Clark was president and treasurer of the I. L. Clark & Sons Co. Having been born In Ogden, . L. Clark was a pioneer booster and he worked for the welfare of Ogden dnr Ini his many ye;(rs of residence. Ho served one term as president of the Weber club and w,?s one of the men .i tm Hi t terB. The daughters are Mrs J li. Koulger and Miss Vera D. Clark The sons are I. C. Clark, vice piesidejt and manager of the company, Charles Clark, and Darrel Clark. His half brothers are Parley Moore of Salt Lake. H. D. 2nd L J. Moore and a half sister, Mrs. Clara Kronk, all of Ogden. The funeral services will be held in the Sixth ward chapel at 2 p. n. Friday, with Bishop O. M. Sanderson officiating. The pall bearers will be business assciates of Mr Clark. The presidency of Ogden Stake, the high counsellors, the stake workers, the bishops and their counsellors and clerks, will assemble at the home at 1:30 on the day of the funeral to attend at-tend in a body They v.Til lead the funeral cortege imm the borne to the chapel and from the ' chapel to the c 6 metery.
