An attorney w ho was first ap-. proached by Mrs. Melcher and then retained by the prince said today he had suggested to Mr Freese. the princes lather in la w. a payment of $5,000 or $lo.ooo In settlement of the woman's claims, but Mrs. Melcher, through her lawyer, declared she must have not less than $50,000.
