On the eve of asmming the second highest office of-fice in the gift of the American people Vice President-elect Marshall today began a program of activity which will keep him busy until far into the night A number of conferences with political friends and advisers are scheduled beginning at 11 o r lock and continuing until late In the afternoon after-noon So numerous are these engagements en-gagements that this morning it was considered doubtful whether Governor Govern-or Marshall will be able, even If he were so inclined, to view the suffrage parade.
