| Show aff 11 E K E wa LL B ak E A alu ITS W in S WHEN SPECIAL RATES ARE OF IN THE SPRING railroad companies are to stimulate travel by a reduction in transcontinental rates passenger agent A B moseley of the harriman Harrl man lines says that travel to the north pacific coast next year will be the heaviest in the history of transcontinental railroads representatives of these lines have already in met et and fixed a rate for the alaska yukon pa ciale exposition from omaha and all missouri river points the round trip to the north pacific coast points seattle tacoma portland and other cities was fixed at 50 with reasonable stopover stop over privileges the tickets will be placed on sale early in the spring and will bo be continued until sept 30 these rates and the wide limit of time will stimulate travel westward and thousands of intending settlers will use this opportunity to make a thorough investigation of conditions in utah and idaho as well as in other western states the liberal rates already announced mr moseley says will doubtless result in reduced rates being made from chicago and st louis points and proportionate cuts from extreme southern and eastern points |
