AN ELECTION elear JET BET IS PAID TWO YOUNG MEN RIDE IN N wheelbarrows they enjoy the experience of having their defeated friends trudge at the handles pedestrians pedestrian along washington avenue nuland nd twenty fifth street were furnished with considerable amusement at noon through the medium of an election bet the principals in the affair were J F pender fender jr chester farar bide higley and jerry sullivan all employed emp loyes of the george A lowe co sharer and young pender had upheld their faith in the election of taft and the republican ticket while hig ley and sullivan held the bryan end the terms of the bet were that the losers should wheel the winners in wheelbarrows from the lowe establishment to the union station and return this they proceeded to do the winners carrying a large placard upon which was inscribed guess who bet on bryan and shouting lustily in celebration of the victory of their candidate much to the discomfiture of tho the men behind the barrows
